Vascular & Interventional Associates is a group of Interventional Radiologists who specialize in minimally invasive, non-surgical treatments of disease. By using sophisticated medical imaging, we guide small caliber catheters through the blood vessels to treat disease percutaneously (through the skin). These procedures are typically much less invasive than traditional surgery. Most procedures are performed on an outpatient basis or require only a brief hospital stay. General anesthesia is not required for most procedures. Recovery times are usually measured in days unlike major surgical procedures which require weeks before returning to normal activity. Julie Halecki, B.S.N. Julie is the primary power behind our outpatient clinic. She is responsible for coordinating all outpatient consultations and procedures. Before joining our team in May of 2003, Julie worked in the Interventional Radiology section at St. Lukes Episcopal Hospital. Her background is in critical care nursing and surgical intensive care nursing. |

Vicki Lippoldt, B.S.N. Vicki is responsible for coordinating all inpatient consultations and procedures. Patients usually meet Vicki the day of their procedure and see her throughout their hospital stay. Vicki's background is in critical care nursing and surgical intensive care nursing. Vicki also worked in the cardiac catheterization lab prior to joining our team. She has a tremendous amount of experience in patient care and the minimally invasive procedures performed by our Interventional Radiologists. |
